Both sides of the war had a reason to fight, and the author’s portrays this is a completely neutral manner thus, he leaves it up to the reader to decide if they follow the white rose or the red rose into battle, and the nest of court politics. He shows us each character’s situation in a manner that suggests that there is no right or wrong. I think the style of Iggulden’s writing made this novel what it is.
